APEX Competition Robot

APEX is NxtGen Robotics' flagship competition robot platform.  Having been in development for two years, our engineering team has refined this design to an extremely capable and robust robot.  Assembly of the robot requires one LEGO Mindstorms:

Robot Inventor (51515) and an optional LEGO Technic Color Sensor.  Building instructions, as well as Robot Inventor kits and Color Sensors are available at the link below.

HYPER Competition Robot

HYPER, the twin of APEX, is the second half of NxtGen Robotics' flagship competition robot platform.  With nearly the same construction as APEX, HYPER has the same drive base, motor mounts, and standing frame.  Assembly of the robot requires one LEGO SPIKE Prime (45678), one LEGO SPIKE Prime Expansion Set (45681)and two LEGO Medium Angular Motors.  Building instructions, as well as SPIKE Prime sets and Medium Angular Motors are available at the link below.

QuickChange
Attachment

Designed with 71 LEGO Technic parts to seamlessly integrate with both APEX and HYPER, our flagship competition robots, the QuickChange Attachment allows teams to switch between assemblies in just seconds.  Our engineering team has designed the QCA to have 0 gear skips and lightning-quick gear meshing.  A proprietary design from NxtGen Robotics, we offer digital building instructions, as well as complete QuickChange Attachment sets.  Both are available at the links below.

APEX & HYPER PLATFORM HIGHLIGHTS

Motors

Both APEX and HYPER are powered by 4 medium angular motors, allowing for compact, yet powerful motion control.

Sensors

APEX and HYPER each have a heptasensor array, composed of 4 rotation, 2 color, and one gyro sensors.

Size

To allow for easy field navigation, our team has designed APEX and HYPER to be 4.7 in wide and 5.3 long.

Simplicity

With low piece counts, APEX and HYPER allow you to save parts for attachments, while still preforming precisly.
